Steve’s Dreams is about the real world and, of course, it’s about the imagination, both things that we all share.
Dan Anthony’s workshops for schools, based on life in Pendown, a town just off a big motorway zooming into Wales, explore the dreamy parts of our imagination by looking at the ordinary bits of our world.
The Steve’s Dreams stories are written for fun, for young readers to enjoy. In other words – the last thing a lesson on the Steve’s Dreams books should be is hard work.
The objective of this resource is to encourage reading for pleasure and writing- so where pupils need to find things out – the place to look is in the books.
In this resource we’ll look at some of the main elements of story writing (according to Dan). Readers will have a chance to express their own opinions about the Steve’s Dreams stories. And everyone will be able to begin their own story.
