This year, guests of the annual World Book Day lecture will spend a fascinating evening in the inspirational company of Peter Florence, director of the Hay Festival, as he speaks on the theme ‘Imagine the World: A story of books and festivals’. The Welsh Books Council is proud to acknowledge the generous contribution towards the lecture by Mererid and Angharad Puw Davies in memory of their parents, Roger and Catrin Puw Davies, who contributed so much to the literary world in Wales.

The event will be held in the Pierhead, Cardiff Bay on Thursday, 2 March. Light refreshments will be available at 6.00 pm and the lecture will start at 6.30 pm. This is a ticketed event and is sponsored by the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Kirsty Williams, who will attend the lecture.
